A luxurious suite at an award-winning Rhode Island icon, which boasts the city's only on-site spa

Have a grand and central stay at a hotel by the architects of Grand Central Terminal. Providence Biltmore was designed by Warren and Wetmore, the firm behind Manhattan’s most famous train station, and offers all the Beaux-Arts grandeur you’d expect. In fact, it’s largely the dazzling interiors that made the hotel’s opening banquet the most elaborate social event in local history at the time (later years saw the Garden Room transform into an aquarium and an ice rink) and that landed the building a cameo in 27 Dresses and The Last Shot. They’re also part of why it won a Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Award 2016 and is widely considered an icon within the Rhode Island capital.

As for the central location, it couldn’t get much better – you’re right in the heart of downtown, just a hop, skip and a jump from the city’s gorgeous public library, the performing arts center, the Arcade and the Brown camp. But then, you probably won’t be spending too much time on the town, since in addition to being visually stunning and convenient to the best sights, this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner is still the life of the party. There are outposts of Starbucks and the legendary McCormick & Schmick’s steakhouse – the second with a lively bar within its 8,000-square-foot dining room – and 294 renovated rooms with a 40-in. flat-screen LED TV apiece. And the hotel spa? It's the only one in town.
